EDGAR LOPEZ BIO
Born and living in Dominican Republic, he starts in the beading world in 2010, however it is in 2002 when he starts experimenting with different jewelry and accessories techniques and, Edgar Lopez said: “Since I can remember I was always interested in art, design and build all sorts of things with my hands, are skills that inherits from my paternal grandmother, who was always a very creative person, today I can bring all these qualities creating pieces I love and fill me with excitement. "
After studying architecture, seeking activities I could do as a hobby until I realized that I liked the jewelry. Then study jewelry design. He has participated in several contests on design, as a contestant and as a jury, and his creations have been published in multiple magazines and books in the United States, Latin America and Europe.
“Creating is my passion, as architect and designer of jewelry, I learned to mix the best of both worlds, mixing shapes and textures that I can see in nature or in buildings, and as a Caribbean I like color and be risky with their combinations.”

Suz Klumb
Artisan Bio: 2024
I am a versatile “Creative” based in Faribault, MN. I’m the proud owner of Glass Garden
Beads and Brigg Evans Designs. Blessed with a rich professional background as a
textile designer spanning over four decades, has brought a wealth of experience to my
craft.
Throughout my career, I have explored various creative avenues, including Textile
Designing, Off-Loom Bead Weaving, Lampwork Glass Beads, and most recently, Slow
Stitch Appliqué. The artistic journey is a testament to my passion for color, texture, and
design structure.
My perspective on art is deeply rooted in the appreciation for the intricate finishing
touches that define handcrafted pieces. I find inspiration in the creative twists of fellow
makers and understand the dedication required to transform a concept into a tangible
masterpiece.
Recognizing the emotional and physical energy invested in the creative process, I want
to express and emphasize the importance of perseverance and resilience in the face of
challenges. It is my belief that true artists push through setbacks to deliver work that
embodies skill and creative expression.
My parting advice to fellow artisans, is to embrace failure as a steppingstone towards
growth and enrichment of your craft. By overcoming fear and embracing new
experiences, artists can unlock their full creative potential and elevate their artistry to
new heights.

I have put together the set of directions for the Sashiko Mini Softi plus added a Mini
Square Peyote project that could be done in coordinated colors and be stitched onto the back to the hanging. I got inspired by the meeting. I did one for me and I like it stitched on the back. It makes the project more ornamental and IT HAS BEADS !!!
Here is the link. I'll make it no charge so they could get started before the meeting.
I will bring some sets of 4x4 white square fabric squares and stuffing. You still need to bring their Embroidery Floss and Crewel or Embroidery Needles. The eye of the needle needs to be able to work with the 6 ply embroidery floss.
